Pizza Season is back! 

Maats Pizza Rides have always been a staple in our events, and the new 2025 season is here again! We organize a Pizza Ride in Utrecht every 3 weeks! We invite you to this open group ride of about 45-55k, after which you can enjoy a delicious pizza and an ice cold beer on your return.

Maats proudly presents: the new limited collaboration collection by Patta x Rapha, dropping Friday the 23rd of May 1pm. 

Join us at Maats Rotterdam for a special ride to celebrate the launch of this highly exclusive Rapha x Patta collection on Thursday evening 22 May. This limited-edition collaboration is available for purchase at Maats in store only on Friday 1pm. Stock is very limited, so make sure you to be in time on Friday, there might be a queue.

For the ride, we’ll gather at 18:30 at Maats Rotterdam and after a casual ride briefing we roll out at 19:00 for a 40 km no-drop ride. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just here for the fun, this ride is all about the experience and the love of cycling. After the ride, enjoy some pizza and drinks as we hang out and celebrate together.

Thursday May 9 - 15:30 - Purmerplein, Amsterdam Noord

On Thursday, May 9 (Ascension Day) you will find us at de Ronde van het Purmerplein in Amsterdam Noord. A local and popular cycling event with a long history. Besides the races there is a market and a varied program organized around it by residents and local initiatives. A nice day out all about cycling! You'll love it!

Maats will organize one of the races during de Ronde van het Purmerplein. We present you  the Maats Rookie Race. A criterium style open street race for everyone who is not very experienced in riding these types of races but who would like to give it a try.

The riders who have a racing license start in a different category and this competition is intended for people who love to ride their bike and would like to test him/her-self in a criterium and perhaps go home with the cup and flowers.  Who knows....

We will organise one race but we have three different classifications: Men, Women and Non-Binary. Please be aware that these kind of events are for people who are new to racing, not for people who are new to cycling... Some experience with high-speed rinding ing groups is recommended.

Participation costs €12.50 and you will receive a starting ticket, bib number, snacks and drinks, photos and prizes for the winners.

In April Maats proudly opened its third location in the heart of Rotterdam. Let's connect the Cycling Culture between Amsterdam - Utrecht - Rotterdam, dedicating one ride to all 3 Maats stores.
On Sunday, May 25th, we'll organize a big epic ride where all three of our shops will 'serve' as stops along the way! 

Choose your starting point: Maats Amsterdam, Maats Utrecht, or Maats Rotterdam. All three groups roll out at 09:30 and follow a ~190 km route that takes you past every Maats store along the way.

Coffee is ready from 09:00 at all three locations, and when you arrive at each store during the route, some snacks and fresh drinks and warm coffee will be waiting for you to refuel.

After the ride, we’ll wrap up with cold beers and soft drinks — because after 190 km, you’ve earned it! 

Sign up via the booking tool — we’ll send the final details and route file to all registered riders in the days before the event. Registration is required.

Ride with the Albion crew and celebrate the launch weekend

Following Friday night’s film screening, we’re continuing the celebration of Albion’s launch at Maats with a special social ride from our Utrecht store on Saturday 17 May.

Join the Albion team and ambassadors for an 80 km mixed terrain group ride through the scenic routes of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Expect a relaxed pace, a mix of tarmac and gravel, and the kind of ride that perfectly reflects Albion’s spirit of adventure.

While the Maats crew is off to the Pas Normal Brand Summit in Copenhagen, we’re rolling out our Sprinter into Germany again. And on our way back, we're excited to host a ride in Berlin, as part of the Maats Local Loops concept!

For this Germany trip, we’re teaming up with a great bunch of friends from the International Cycling Club by Pas Normal Studios. Including photographer and Pas Normal Studios ambassador, Rik de Voogd

The ride from Berlin takes place on Monday, June 9, and we’re hosting an official International Cycling Club ride from Berlin in collaboration with Cykel Butik Berlin.

At the end of August 2019, together with our neighbors from Leeman Döner, we organized a ride that turned out to be one of the most iconic cycling events in the history of mankind: The Maats x Leeman Ride. This summer we will host already the fifth edition and we will make something special out of this anniversary edition...

This summer, Maats proudly joins forces with Maartje Maria, Utrecht's most coveted cycling, triathlon and food influencer, and organizes a Women's Ride. We invite everyone on this ride to discover Utrecht's finest roads curated by Maartje Maria. This ride is suitable for all levels - from beginners to more experienced riders. Contact Maats (chatbox) or Maartje (Instagram DM) if you would like to know more about the ride/level.
