Maats x PNS: Epic Gravel Ride
Now that summer is truly behind us, the days are getting shorter and temperatures are dropping — which calls for a different approach to preparation and kit choices before you head out on the bike. The perfect moment to mark the start of the AW season with a proper off-road adventure.
On Saturday 10 October, we kick off the new season and new collections with an epic gravel ride — the perfect way to launch the PNS AW collections. This isn't a casual spin through the woods. It's a demanding, high-performance gravel ride, exactly in the spirit of PNS: challenging, uncompromising and built for those who push themselves.
We start at Bar Pleur, Utrecht's newest and finest coffee bar, before heading out onto the best gravel sections the Veluwe has to offer. We ride in two groups — Advanced and Flow. In the Advanced group, the pace is high and there's a drop policy; in the Flow group, the pace is more relaxed and riders wait for each other. But don't be mistaken — this is not a ride for beginners. The combination of distance, terrain and pace makes this a demanding day in the saddle. Everyone is welcome, but come prepared and ready to push yourself.
Halfway through, there's an optional stop at Halte Assel — an iconic spot to refuel with fries and snacks. Further along, a possible second stop at De Proloog in Amerongen around km 140 gives you the boost you need for the final stretch. We finish at Maats Utrecht with drinks and food.
