Maats x Sweet Protection: Cold Start Coffee Ride
To celebrate the launch of the limited edition Silver Smoke Falconer 2Vi Mips Helmet we team up with our friends of Sweet Protection for this social ride. Join us for a nice group ride on your road bike to experience what Sweet Protection is all about. Ride briefing with intructions will be emailed 2 days before the ride.
Sunday 22 February
- 9.00 meet-up, 9:30 ride out.
- route ~80km, social pace 28-30 kmh no drop policy
- coffee and snack powered by Sweet protection
This ride is meant for everyone who loves to share the passion of cycling together.
- Relaxed pace, average speed: 28-30 km/h
- Cruising speed (on longer straight segments): ~30 km/h
- Meant for riders looking for a nice bike ride to get in touch with each other and meeting new people
- We ride in pairs of 2 and take voluntary turns on the front positions
- This ride adheres to a no drop policy - if the speed is too high we dial it down a notch.
If someone is struggling, we'll bring the pace down a little bit. If some people have to wait at a traffic sign, we all wait at the other side of the street. In Dutch there is a expression: “Samen uit, samen thuis”, which means we’ll stick together and leave no one behind, from departure till arrival.
General Rules
- Helmet & click pedals are mandatory
- Make sure you're aware of the signaling on the bike (voor, tegen, paaltje etc.) or be eager to learn during the ride :)
- Respect the indicated pace
