For this edition, Rotterdam-based illustrator Joren Joshua brings his witty and absurd illustrations of everyday life into a playful and graphic everyday essential.

Strongly influenced by graffiti and printing techniques, the artwork carries a dynamic visual identity that gives this technical cap a distinctive look with plenty of character. The Maats Van is ready to rumble! As of this summer, we're driving the van to various cities in The Netherlands and organize Maats Local Loops. One of the first cities we go to is Maastricht, and next to our local customers, we'd like to invite you to come and ride with us!

Who better to ask to create a local route than a Local Legend? Meet Fleur and David. Fleur has been part of the Maats Family from the very beginning. When she lived in Amsterdam a few years ago, she came to work in our store and was on of our first members of staff. Fleur has been living with her boyfriend David for a few years now just below Maastricht.

David is a professional rider with the French team Arkea-Samsic. He has been training in the region for years and knows this area like the back of his hand. David made a nice and challenging route for Maats.

• After finishing back in Zwolle, we go to a local brewery and have some drinks!

Local Legend

Our local legend in Zwolle is Thijs Kroon. He visited our store in Amsterdam a couple of times, and we have always kept in touch ever since. Maybe you've seen him at one of our events. You might also know Thijs from his RideFastBikeShop and his work as a mechanic for team BEAT. All in all, we deem him to be the perfect tour guide for the Zwolle region!
