The Maurten GEL 100 CAF 100 contains 100 mg of caffeine – that’s the equivalent of 1,5 espressos – or one cup of brewed coffee. That’s a lot compared to many of the traditional gels out there. It delivers 25 grams of carbohydrates through a unique blend of fructose and glucose (ratio of 0.8:1). It packs a high weight to energy ratio and doesn’t contain any added flavours, preservatives or colourants. Just like all of Maurten's products, it’s vegan-friendly.
Use the GEL 100 CAF 100 on its own during shorter durations, or combine it with other Maurten products to ensure you have enough carbohydrates throughout your session.
Energy capsulated in a natural hydrogel. Each serving contains 100 mg of caffeine and delivers 25 grams of carbohydrates. Built with seven ingredients – no added colorants, preservatives or flavours.
Box of 12 servings.
Gel 160 is a bigger hydrogel option — encapsulating 40 grams of carbohydrates in each serving. Proven technology built with just 6 ingredients — no added colors, preservatives or flavors. For athletes who want more energy in each gel to fuel their training and racing.
Box of 10 servings.
Suitable for vegetarians & vegans.
Friday 21 June 2024
Starting Point: Amsterdam, Utrecht or Zwolle
Maats and Pas Normal Studios would like to invite you to complete the Midsummer Challenge on the longest day of the year: Friday June 21st. We are challenging everyone to ride 200km+ in one go - come join us for a long epic day in the saddle.
The concept is simple: we will take full advantage of the longest day of the year and ride a longer route of no less than 235km. You can choose to start either from our store in Amsterdam, Utrecht or from Ride Fast Bikeshop (our newest shop-in-shop location near Zwolle).
We are organizing the event in cooperation with our premium brand Pas Normal Studios. Brand ambassador Rik de Voogd will join us on the ride from Amsterdam.
All groups ride the same route and have at least two stops. The group that departs from Maats Utrecht, stops in Zwolle and Amsterdam and finishes again in Utrecht. Riders from Amsterdam first go to Utrecht, then Zwolle. During the instore breaks we'll provide food, snacks and drinks. Upon your return, cold beers will be waiting at the finish line.

Introducing our new Advanced Road Rides!
Sundays are for riding, sharing time together on the bike to connect, meeting new people or catching up with friends.
What is an Advanced Ride?
The Advanced Ride is meant for more advanced riders, who are comfortable with a higher pace
If someone is struggling, bring the pace down a little bit. If some people have to wait at a traffic sign, wait for them across the street.
In Dutch there is a saying: “Samen uit, Samen thuis”, which means we’ll stick together and leave no one behind, from departure till arrival.
General Rules (Important!)
Respect traffic rules
What is the level? What do we expect from you?
Although we love all cyclists, our rides are not for absolute beginners. If you register for our rides, we expect you to be able to ride at least 28 km/h in a group for a minimum of 2+ hours. Experience with group rides is a plus but not a requirement.
NOTE: if the reason for you to join is to ride really fast without any social interactions, this is NOT for you.
Routes:
Each Maats location has approximately 8 fixed routes of around 60-70 km.
Routes are designed for variety, safety and an optimal riding experience with groups. Routes will NOT be adjusted (only in consultation).
