January is the month of the Winter Resolution Challenge from Pas Normal Studios, a Strava initiative that challenges you to ride at least 1250 km in the first month of the year. On Sunday 12th and Sunday 19th of January, we organize two long rides to boost your monthly total and achieve your goals. This is the third time we're organizing this ride, next to a start/finish from Amsterdam now also the possibility to ride from Rotterdam. Check last year's aftermovie here.
Everyone around Amsterdam has heard of it or rode it before: the famous and notorious Markermeer loop, a route of approximately 160 km, all day along the waterfront. It is a simple route where the only thing you have to think about is whether you are going to take it clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the wind that day. You can find the route here.
We gather at 08:30h at Maats for coffee. After the ride briefing, we divide everyone into smaller groups for departure. The Maats Sprinter will serve as a support van, that rides with the groups, in which you can put some personal belongings (like food or extra clothing) during the stops.
