The Mechanism Bib Shorts are the backbone of the Pas Normal Studios range, and one of the bibs we sell most at Maats. They're light, compressive and cut for riding fast: think group rides, intervals and summer racing.
Why riders pick the Mechanism bibs
The fit is tight and aerodynamic, shaped around a proper riding position, so they feel best once you're on the bike. The latest version gets a higher front rise for comfort, stretchier mesh-structured straps, and a front mesh panel that breathes as well as the back. A zigzag stitch on the chamois seam reduces friction against the saddle and lasts longer.
Fit and sizing
Mechanism runs close and compressive. If you're between sizes or new to Pas Normal Studios, come by one of our stores in Amsterdam, Utrecht or Rotterdam and try them on with a jersey.
When to wear them
Made for mild to warm temperatures and high intensity. The lightweight fabric offers limited wind and water protection, so on colder mornings add leg or knee warmers. Below 10°C, switch to long bibs.
